Day 56: Sun 24th April 2011

Easter Sunday in the Sky. If I had have known it was also pinhole photography day I would have made an effort for the occasion but I was too late.

  1. Hey Laura, thanks for your comment on my blog post! And thanks for following also. I apologise for the quite monotonous system by which my blog works. I like boring things very much!
But in regards to your comments about photographs, I get the feeling that you, like me, are quite a vintage-ey person. As in, we like things the way they were as opposed to the way they are now (that is not to say old ways of thinking, more so old ways of creating; art, photography, music etc.)
One of my great desires is to own a vinyl player. Do you have one? Or know where one can get one?
I'm going to have vinyl and take lots of pictures on film cameras and get them printed (one plus side to an increase in technology is that printing is cheaper because not everybody does it/depends on it anymore).
Also; I like this Easter Sunday photo. Wherever you were looks really lovely. I spent the day in bed eating chocolate eggs.

  2. I have a vinyl player, but it's not vintage, it's digital. The best place to look for one is at markets. there's a really good flea market near St. Patrick's Cathedral on the last Sunday of every month and you would probably find one there. Here's a link to their facebook page:

They have lots of pictures of stalls too, check them out!

I recently got into film photography, and I'm loving it but it's far from cheap! The film is expensive and the printing is expensive. I would say mess around with an old camera and get a feel for it and see if you like it before you go buying a vintage one.

Thanks, this is my favourite pub in Wexford. They had a market on during the day so there was a great atmosphere there that night! But you can't beat a day in bed stuffing your face with chocolate all the same!!

  3. Haha, wow thanks for the tip!
Yeah, I'm not much of a photographer. My Dad gets cameras free with work because he takes photos of rare plants for a living (he works in a wildlife reserve). I usually use his lumix. It's really good for clear digital photographs. I'm useless at photoshop however so they tend to remain static etc.

Hope you had a happy easter! Looks like it by the looks of your easter egg (mmm...)
